It has been a year since Shakti Collective did its first party ever. This party took place in a small, cozy basement of Celt's Pub. Over the year we have brought amazing live acts, presented some unique deco and always tried to keep our events friendly and "attitude-less" (if there's such a word in the vocabulary  ). Over this year our Shakti-family got bigger, after all we wouldn't be able to make such great events without the assistance of our dear friends. On September 24th, we will be celebrating our first anniversary and all our achievements for this year. For this reason, we have decided to present a special line up:
SENSIENT (Zenon Records, Australia) - LIVE!
Sensient is 24 year old Tim Larner from Melbourne, Australia. Having played drums in various funk/fusion bands since the age of 12, he has always had the music in him. However it was not until he discovered psy trance at the age of 19, that he finally found his musical calling. His early days in the scene were spent in the rainforests of Byron Bay, soaking up the vibe and inspirations of such a place. Then in time he purchased his first computer and immedieately began to explore the possibilties of sound creation. Since then he has progressed far, and developed is own unique style of deep, groovy, proggressive psy. Atmosphere plays a major part in his music, and the groove factor is equally important. He tries to create space in which the listener is free to explore his music in their own way and interpretation...nothing is rammed down the listeners throat.
Sensients debut album "Blue Neevus" was released on Tatsu Records in 2003.
Ekoplex (BLA, Toronto) - LIVE!
Ekoplex, aka Ray Vincent is one of Toronto's best kept secrets. Ray produces music that moves and grooves everyone and his style can be descibed as dark but groovy tech-trance. Do not miss this amazing talent perform!

Ah! You have no idea how badly I wanted to yell this out at our party! LOL
This will be the Shakti event we're all craving   Lots of prep time of Sensient, but it's ok... like you said Boris the Shakti family has gotten bigger. With all of us doing our part, this party will be a huge success!

yes, that would be nice, i'd love to come up for a party in toronto one of these days...
however i will be down at the POWWOW in asheville, nc that weekend.
good luck though! no doubt this will be a great party

Im definitelly going to be there..hope to make this aven better than last one! much love to all you guys setting up these amazing parties. its all coming from the heart!
