It obviously depends from your taste but you can try with some RYM or DRM patterns in different banks.

hmm dont make it complicated^^with delays and stuff..

just make your pattern every 2 step closed hihat.
then copy that, to every second step so every step is filled.
and lower the volume each second step ~50%, perfect shaker hihat you got

yes tribute this is an easy way to get it shaking! but with an easy delay its easy to get, too! but the way to write it into the pattern is better for the cpu!

you name it
my pc is so trashed i have no space for anymore desktop icons^^

i tried it with delay and it sound the same when you tweak it..

the problem i get with the delay is, that when i want only 1 closed HH on the Kick for a few beats, i have to automate the mixing level for the delay
otherwise (with the pattern mode) you can simply just take the first hat and have it clean no automation there

yea i agree, playing with the accentuation of the notes results in good shaking effects.

you can also try to slightly decay the 2nd and 4th step of the loop, if you use fruity loops there's an option which does this for you it's called "swing". But i wouldn't recommend it for bpms over 150.

hey,
i work on fruity, but dont get this "swing" thing at all^^
i think i know what it does (slightly move some notes a few ms?), but when i change the swing position, it just does nothing..

can you help me?^^

yeah exactly, it moves these notes by some ms, depending on how much you push the swing-slider to the right.

try making a simple drumloop at low bpm, that fills well your pattern. also do not send it to the pianoroll before you apply the swing (actually here you'll see the effect). i think you'll hear the effect, it gives kinda groovy touch

Use shaker samples or fool around with the attack on some ordinary hats probably with some delay on'em...           www.iono-music.com
