Ok, recommendations? I'm looking for places selling mostly EDM, especially trance. I'd rather not explore every single store on Haight or Telegraph or wherever, so someone please provide me with recommendations! I'm looking to only buy CDs and I'm mostly looking for classic, must-owns and anything from Suntrip records, so please keep that in mind
I'd rather support the locals, rather than ordering all my stuff off psyshop or saiko. |

reverb on haight (not sure if they have stuff from suntrip records though).. they are accross the street from ameoba, who also has some psytrance but not much... other than that u can try ameoba in berkeley they have more psy than the SF one, or skills in berkeley... |

Yeah, I've been to both Amoebas and their psy collections are dismal at best. Mostly comps and just a few albums. Although, I was able to pick up Space Tribe - Sonic Mandala for $8, brand-new, unopened at the Amoeba on Haight. Not bad considering that it sells over 30 euros on discogs.
The Amoeba on Haight also had both Filteria albums, but I already have those!
P.S. Isn't skills more of a hip-hop record store? |

skills used to be similar to reverb, but they may have changed as i haven't been there in years...
so ur best bet is reverb, they are the only store that has some of the new cds... u can get lucky at ameoba once in a while (i found xdream - radio for 2 dollars there)....
it used to be better a few years ago... distractions on haight had a lot of cds...
if i were u i would go with saiksounds or psyshop... |

Good call on Reverb. I got Filteria's debut album, awesome! And best of all, I got Oforia - Delirious for $5. Sells for 15 euros on discogs; sweet deal!
The guy at Reverb recommended Ceiba, which is further down Haight. I was looking for classic albums (you all know: Hallucinogen, AP, Pleiadians, Koxbox, etc), and he said it was a good place to look. I'm saving that journey for another day though.
Thanks for the recommendation. Anyways, where's distractions at (in relation to Amoeba and Reverb)? |

if you like suntrip records so much you could probably contact them and buy the complete catalog directly from them... |

Yeah, but the point is to support local record stores! Anyways, the only release that I need from them is Twist Dreams (which I had... until I lent it to a friend who then lost it). |
