Another thing...I thought that the scene was about not judging people and giving love and respect to others. Why are the women behind the decks being judged so much, when it's supposed to be about PLUR? Why is it ok for Paris Hilten,Brittany Spears,Janet Jackson, Angelina Jolie, and other female entertainers to pose nude and flash their shit all over tv and in mags half naked, but female djs get disrespected for it? It's not like I spin out live in the nude(skyclad) or half naked...I ALWAYS have my clothes on during my sets.

First of all dude, you should take the time to actually download and listen to my mixes and tracks before reading me as something I'm not. I'm a producer and deejay that has the skills to back up my funk. It's comments like yours that make us girls continue to market ourselves this way. You see when you're in this rat race to stardom or success...there's a lot of people you want to attract. The way I market myself grabs people's attention. Once they take the time to listen to my music, they are very intrigued and impressed. When I spin out live, I'm always dealing with people with attitudes like yours. After my set they tell me that they are so sorry for reading me wrong. All I'm saying is to not judge me by the way I market myself...please judge me by my mixing and music production. I bring something to the table every time, and I'm going to continue to prove people like you wrong, with every track I producer and every mix I release. I don't care that you think my name is stupid...LOL and fuck your cheap shots and opinion...this is fact.

BTW I NEVER take my clothes off while spinning. Find one picture of me with my top off while djing, and I'll lick your dirty feet. I ALWAYS keep my clothes on while djing, because it's not about my looks, it's about my skills. In fact when I spin live I hardly even wear makeup, and I don't look anything like my marketing pictures LOL...you're a tool LOL

i've never said you ain't got no skills - i believe you if you say you have.

that given, tell me why market yourself like that? i still don't get it. there's more cheap erotica in your myspace than bpm's in a trance tune. if your music is good, let it speak for itself, and i'll hear it. but i'm not that kind of man that is automatically drawn to anything with the slightest hint of erotica.

i don't get why comments like mine should make you continue marketing yourself like this. i love music, and it doesn't matter if music is made by a male or a female. if the music is good, i listen to it. with that i actually want to say that there's no need for that cheap shite to get me interested in a girl's music. my interest will never be drawn to a musician who uses erotic imaginery to promote/market his/her music. because that's nothing else than cheap, real cheap. if the way you reached your "fame" makes you proud, okay. but i myself couldn't square this with my conscience at all, never.

one last thing: people, me too, react to the way you promote yourself. so, people do not read you wrongly....it's you who gives a wrong picture of yourself. the economical term for that would be corporate identity.

yes you have a point about the way that I market myself, but I know WAY better producers and djs then me, and they have no fan base because of their marketing tactics. What's the use of being waisted talent or not being able to have a bunch of people listen and fall in love with your music. I don't care what you say, but if you don't grab people's attention, you're not going to get your projects heard, seen, read, or used. I have a degree in marketing and advertising, so I know what I'm talking about. Like I said, when I post a pic of me looking like a normal person...no one pays attention to me because it's not attracting. When I post an implied nude pic, my name gets put in threads like these...any publicity is good publicity. Actually I look at this thread as free advertising, and also look at it as my marketing tactics working. I'm already in a male dominant business, in which men don't take women that dj seriously. So a male dj is going to hate on a female dj for that reason alone. If she can spin or not the guy will still look at her as a talentless whore. If she markets herself fully cloth or not, a man will still look at her as a talentless whore. Yes when I was a radio personality, I had a fan base without marketing myself the way I do, but that fan base was only in my home town, and couldn't really branch out further then that. I stopped doing radio, and started a modeling career, in which I've gained a bigger fan base. Since I had the radio fan base, and the modeling fan base, I put them both together and ended up gaining even more of a fan base. So most of my fans have been with me though out a few career changes. Once I decided to actually be the dj and producer...all of those fans have already known of me being the girl that kept her clothes on, and the girl that posed implied nude. Whatever you may say or think, my marketing has my name all over the world, and not just in my home town or nowhere, so you really can't be too made at me. As far as you not being interested in seeing erotica, that's a lie or either you're an android, because every person I know have a natural since of wanting to see or be involved in erotica. To say that erotica has never aroused you is just not possible. I bet you've seen hot models, actresses, and singer and their looks captivated you before you actually paid attention to what it was that they were advertising or taking part in. That was a bullshit statement to make. I bet if someone asked you right now who's your favorite female actress, you would name her off and say that she's hot. So basically her looks is what made you interested in her acting skills. Sorry to burst your bubble, but in the industry...it's 90% marketing/promotions, and only 10% talent, no matter how talented the person is. You should take up some marketing and advertising classes, and then come back to this forum and read how dumbfounded you sound about this topic. When you're finished bumping your gums...any publicity is good publicity. It still gets your name out there no matter if it's positive feedback or negative.

Yes I beleive what I stated for the simple fact that it's working right now as I type. Me posting pics of me like that has grabbed your attention and other's attention...that's what marketing is supposed to do. After you get off from looking at my images, I hope to God you've decided to take the time to listen to my music and mixes. So all in all...my marketing tactic worked. Also, when I have a normal default pic on myspace...it don't attract as many people to my page. Once I post a pic like that one as a default, lots of people hit my page up, and leave me comments on how talented I am, and the good looks is just an added bonus. Don't get mad because I can attract a crowd with my looks and skills. I'm 30 years old and an ex radio personality. I also used to weight 210lbs, so I'm damn proud of my looks and I put in hard work to get my body to look like that..especially being as old as I am.

As far as my track XXX Fun, that was inspired by a female electronica producer/dj/remixer name Dj Triad. That's what she specialize in...erotic electronica, so that was a project that she wanted us to work on...that's called networking...let's all say it together...NETWORKING(wow I feel like an entertainment consultant or teacher). Sorry that I make sure to hit up every aspect of electronica to get my name out there...IT'S CALLED MARKETING!!! Obviously it's working because I'm here on this message board explaining myself to lots of people that have found out about me on the net or in magazines and radio. Another thing...I'm not rich by any means and I've NEVER done an event that was sponcered by Red Bull...if anyone know of anyone that can get me booked at an event that does...let me know. I'm a newbie in the scene, but because of the way I've marketed myself, people think I'm rich and famous...obviously I have some great marketing skills.

Don't judge a book by it's cover is all I'm saying...get to know me first before you write me off as a talentless boobie and ass holder.

BTW men that say that women can't spin seriously needs to stop thinking so 1960...and I'm still waiting for that dude to post a pic of me spinning topless or naked. If he don't post one here soon... he just made himself look like the ass clown that he is, in front of a lot of people that visit these forums.

your hoping didnt work for me, i havent listen to your music
cause i criticise the way you promote yourself and thats what ive written.
ive never said that women cant spin i know some good djanes but they dont need to show themselves as pornbunnies.
if you do so then you will be seen as pornbunny and not as dj or producer.
anak allready postet it but:
when you are doing good music then let it speak for itself.
its quite amusing that you seem to be upset,
because some guys see you the way you promote yourself.

only two things: firstly, i never said i wasn't aroused by erotica. but what i see in all the links given in one of the initial posts ain't erotic, it's cheap unesthetic nudery. eventhough the porn industry calls their film erotic, there's still a big difference between artistic erotica and cheap depiction of flesh. the way sexuality and the term "erotic" is being (ab)used today makes me vomit.

secondly, i've had my fair share of economic class, and still do, unfortunately, because i think it's the most fake bullshit science and monkey business in the world.          Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

I understand all of your points of view, but when you're finished bumping your gum...you guys still consider me a dj and producer even if you think I'm a porn bunny and my music and mixing suck. Regardless of your replies, I'm still featured in magazines, radio,tv, and publications with the title of Dj and Producer all over the world, and it will always be that way. Don't act like djing is hard because it's not. A monkey could be taught how to spin and produce music and they will do it well, so to say women can't do it is bullshit. Men need to stop acting like spinning is a difficult thing. I'm new at producing and still have airplay with my tracks...it's all because of marketing. I know lots of crappy music that makes it on the air and into record stores, but for the simple fact that it was promoted correctly is why the world consumed it. Like I said before...I understand your points of view, but I'll still be producing and spinning, while you all will be spending your time on message boards like these giving me and other female djs free promotion. You really should find something better to do with your time, but hey...that will end my free promotion

>>Why is it ok for Paris Hilten,Brittany Spears,Janet Jackson, Angelina Jolie, and other female entertainers to pose nude and flash their shit all over tv and in mags half naked, but female djs get disrespected for it?<<<<

Because they are fucking hollywood and pop culture. I go to this scene to get away from the shallow bullshit of pop culture, and I dont really appreciate the likes of you bringing that crap into our culture.

>>I ALWAYS have my clothes on during my sets.<<<
Oh so its false advertising too? If im gonna put up with crap music like that I wanna see some boobs and ass or get something to make it worth my time.

>>>yes you have a point about the way that I market myself, but I know WAY better producers and djs then me, and they have no fan base because of their marketing tactics.<<<
Thats because they are real ARTISTS and part of being an ARTIST is learning to live with the fact that the masses will not understand true art. If you take yourself down to the level of the masses to market yourself you are what they call a SELLOUT.

>>>If she can spin or not the guy will still look at her as a talentless whore. <<<
Ummm we have some several very talented femaled DJs here in NYC who prove you wrong. They dont have to market themseleves like you do because their talent speaks for itself and believe me guys LOVE a talented woman with self respect. These girls make the dancefloor go wild and ive never, ever seen them use their bodies to market themselves.

The fact that they are female and are truly among the most talented DJs in NY is a massive turnon and they dont need to do anything but be their onw talented selves. You should face the fact that it is because of your lack of talent that you need to show flesh to get attention.

>>>Like I said, when I post a pic of me looking like a normal person...no one pays attention to me because it's not attracting.<<

No, that would be because your music sucks (or at least your default track does), and anyone who does post about how much they like it is probably just trying to get in your pants. If you cant see that you really are a fool.

AND FINALLY:::: YOUR ATTEMPTS TO ACT AS IF YOUR (AND BRITTANY SPEARS ETC)'S WHORISH MARKETING IS FEMINIST LIBERATION IS UTTER BULLSHIT. I RESPECT WOMEN BY HOLDING THEIR WORK AND BEHAVIOR TO THE SAME STANDARDS OF QUALITY AS I HOLD MEN'S.
You and your kind are a disgrace to the entire cause of equality for women.

PUT ON YOUR CLOTHES AND GO HOME OR GET A JOB IN AN EROTICA CLUB WHERE YOUR BEHAVIOR BELONGS.

If you dont see the truth in the criticisms people are making you are one dumb fucking bitch.

And anyway, you make house, wtf do you know about our scene and why did you even bother to come here and make an ass of yourself (no pun intended) by comparing our music to Brittany Spears?? We ought to shoot you just for saying that.

If I get to play my own music while we do it, I'll pay 75$ for an hour in the sack with you and 150$ if you let me fuck you doggie style. Also will you give a bulk discount if we gang-fuck you? Can we do a flight sharing deal to bring you to new york? Are you pleased with the attention you have garnered?
