True story.

A lot of drum n bass is 160 bpm, some LTJ Bukem stuff with saxophones and nice rodes pianos...etc some jazz tunes are about there as well. Are they extreme?
Actually, they can be...depending on how you mesure extreme in your scale of taste/behavior!!!
They can be, but it would take more than the BPM factor, which is the point I am trying to make.

And to all who feel that the psy scene is the same as a night out in the city...you either have a great night life in your city or a miserable psy trance scene!!!

so what youre saying is that psytrance and its parties are just like a regular night in the city for you?
No, I am saying that the people that go to trance parties are just as normal/fucked up as the people you would meet on a regular night out.
I love some of my nights out in the city, I love going to (some) trance parties.
Comparing the two would be missing the point though, its like comparing apples with oranges.

hehehehe sorry, That was a little graphic and I apologize but it illustrates the point that trance aprties aren't always the utopia people sometimes make them out to be.
If you've ever had to duct-tape someone to a tree to keep them from hurting themselves or others for the weekend, you'd know too. (Fortunately I've never had to take part in that)

What gutter said. The main downside is that if you wanna listen to MWNN play, you have to also listen to Rinkadink and U-Recken play...and if you wanna listen to Dick Trevor play, you have to sit through Digital Talk's set, but that's a different thread all together...

That sort of action/thinking is not at all common to "dark trance" parties. Like the music or don't but you see the same amounts of smiles and positive attitudes in general that you would find at any event where people gather to listen to their preferred music.
You will also find the same potential for depravity at any sort of gathering across the spectrum, especially when numbers of people and mind altering substances are involved.
Don't blame the music.
It IS

Would make a nice cover for a dark psy album...
That's like saying rainbows and popsicles would make a great full-on trance cover
