ultimately we gather to make community as a basic instinct also- in todays commercialized sterilized societies where we often feel alone in bubbles of human creation, a party is one of the ways people can come together, ostensibly about "music" or some other cultural thing like a "holiday" etc... but mostly its the desire to hang out.
part and parcel to that is sex. the sex urge, the various chemicals that drive the male and the female in their various role playing games.
it is impossible to separate this from human interaction (although it is heavily frowned upon in the corporate environment i am told)
however, parties, like most social functions, have a focal activity- in this case dancing. eating is popular on festivals for example, but is often less featured with indoor events. its not a particularly central activity to most people, at least as far as publicly disclosed motivations for attending.
one could say the same for sex. |

Ok,thanks guys for the replies; the serioius and less serious....
I think you've not understand me on some things though; I'm not a permanent sex mad but just moments of loneliness and all that like everyone; I'm 26, been to university, great time with the girls, no problem; it's just that i didn't know trance parties before and so was surprised that girls don't react like in other events.I think I agree that psychedelics are probably the reason; it's not so usual in other circles...

Especially when enhanced, a woman can sense desperation....
They are not there to do someone..They are there to feel free (maybe free from gropers and the typical "club" environment) and have a great psychedelic experience.
When the trip is on, women especially, they need to feel trust in that environment and then open up....
If you are there just looking to get some, you can go to another club (Avalon in LA), where people are there to hook up...
your idea of free is different obviously, than the people you were looking towards for that experience.
If you had found a girl that went to a place like that to do some random guy, then your stars would have been aligned and you would have got some...
Woman are just not usually like that, unless they are drunk....These woman aren't normally drunks, so it requires a little work on your part.....

Seriously though, speaking as a guy, who really wants to have sex after you've been dancing your ass off and sweating balls in the woods all weekend with no real soap, toilets or showers, and with someone who's been doing the same?? Can you say, salted fish bone soup?? Personally, I can't even think about sex at a trance party with anyone at all short of someone I was close to/trusted/cared about mutually. (Which means I probably came with and will be leaving with them)
I'm certainly no saint but that just sounds like a recipe for irresponsible disaster I'd really rather not find out about the hard way. All for a 5 second feeling I can usually take induce better by myself.
Maybe I'm just getting old or something
