this is only to those who know EXACTLY what im talkin about...

i wanted to know what it is that makes so many artist sound closely similar...for example
pads used by zen mechanics sound so similar to Ace venturas pads.... not the exact pad but as if it came out of the same plugin.
and again sample packs used by zen mechanics r the same as ace's close...
now, im not saying they suck, ( they are both literally my favorite sounds right now) but i just want to be let on on the secret sample pack, or secret vst ( offcoarse other than sylenth1 but yea it could just be a soundbank or presets used by them but i just would like to be pointed in the right direction, not to reuse or remake their shit but to understand how their vision of production is (which is the same exact shit as all the other pros out there at the moment)
and again,
this is just to the people who really know what im talkin about...dont just tell me "use your ears" and recreate. but im looking for more like than answer of " yea bro, i no exactly what u mean and they often use vengeance essential clubsounds 1 and 2 and 3."

thanks guys hope i didnt bore you

I guess they exchange soundbanks. Or if they do remixes of eachothers tracks they have the access to the same sounds. I don't think they use many sample cd's but i could be wrong of course.

1.presets
everyone use same gear , same banks etc...

try to move around 2000 presets of several vst's and you will find parts from many tracks

2.samples -yea bro, i no exactly what u mean and they often use vengeance essential clubsounds 1 and 2 and 3. (maybe not this 2 examples, but almost all israeli fullon that sound the same does..)

3.same thinking , they like the same drugs

4. ask them , they are memebers on this forum

i would say, you have all those lead questions,
because you are not long enough into music imo.

you have to explore, and try out, there is no
"one butten to go".
i read your threads about leads and answer as
good as i can, to help your further. but this is
the wrong way imo. its hard work to get there.
if you work hard enough and got first good
results you know why thats the wrong way.

sure, there are presets etc... but in the end, i hope
every known artist will build there own leads.
there is also so much more than synths what
makes real leads... (layering, pan, distortion, comp, limiter,
delay, audiocut, phaser, flanger, EQ ...).

To me that can be a huge problem because it's usually an indicator that someone's music is dependent on their resources..           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

offcourse music depend on the resource..
before 1968 the first moog you couldnt make much more then acoustic music , or well in 1950 fender's electric guitar introduced to the world...
not to mention some effects just been invented in the 70's.. and so on and on..
goa music doesnt sound like todays trance , cause of the resources are better today (as well include all what was in the past)

beside even if you try really hard , you cant get 'moog' sounds out of 'nord' , you can come close but never the same , and to get exact set-up as your favorite artist isnt that bad idea..

i still totaly understand those who work 2 days to get their own unique sound , but in world of 134532543622345632 presets and 43653464 sample packs its pritty hard to even tell where its coming from ..

when its easy , its right. i hate those who love to work too hard. the result is the only thing that matter.          www.sattelbattle.com

im agreeing with everyone who posted something here...seriously though i am
elad im with you all the way....music is mostly wat comes out of your ability to learn the tools....
and orgytime, i specifically said none of the use your ears answers BUT ur right also fuck presets, but then again back at what elad said presets teach you a shitload! and im not gonna use them (like i said above) i just want to go down the same road of pro artists a bit just to understand their point of view of creating dancable music! understand?
thanks guys keep em comin!
