Ive noticed since ive been mixing on a stereo sound system, that when i go back and listen to my recordings, everything sounds just a touch offset. is this because of the stereo delays messing with my ears while im beat matching? everythign sounds fine and well, until you listen to that recording. should I disable the stereo? i would like to mix in stereo, because you actually hear some funky background noises you would normally miss.

If you make sure you're in the sweet spot, right in the middle of the two speakeres, you should be fine.
And youre monitoring the same mix that goes to tape?
Very odd...

what if the jack of your headphones is a little messed up? sometimes, stereo headphones can sound like mono headphones when they're a little fucked up.
