Hello guys...
I'm trying to do a search on the various algorithms sum (Cubase, Logic, Live, Protools ...), in order to compare them to a sum of analog SSL 900.
I wonder if anyone knows of some sites or books from which to draw some information on the subject, or of possible tests that could be done to develop this research ....
I have thought about it a lot, because most studios avoid making the sum in a sequencers, do'ing it analog mixers...

I would say your search will take you further away from producing music than closer to it.
Protools HD uses 48bit fixed point LE 32 bit float and I don't know about the others. But if you give yourself plenty of headroom like you would on a console then you won't have any issues. Track using RMS meters and aim for about -20. Keep peaks below -6dBFS.
On some of the desks I have worked on you can pin the needle at +3VU and still have over 20dB headroom before clipping. |

As long as you leave headroom, are working at the same bit/sample rate and dither correctly then they are the same.
That is all you need to put in your project
