I don't know if you all agree with me but imo usually every sequel that was ever made was a piece of junk. At least not comparable to the first one.
The only exceptions for me are:
Terminator;
Godfather;
Alien (only for parts 2 and 3);
Problem Child;
Home Alone (for part 2);
Rocky (I think 3 and 4 are the best ones)
How about you??
Know any sequels that you think are worthy considering the first ones???
Not better then the first ones, but still good movies.
Regards! |

Except for "Clone Wars" imho.
Indiana Jones rules.
I'm looking foward to see the 4th one to decide if the sequels "rules" apply to it as well.

I still haven't seen the last episode of the Bourne Trilogy.
Looking foward to see it.
I didn't like "Hannibal" so much.
It's just like I put it for the sequel's rules. It's not a bad movie imo but I think it's imposible to compare it with the other two.
One more for the list:
Lord Of The Rings! I think "The Two Towers" is the best one.

i liked 28 days after,but the 28 weeks after was a bit of a dissapointment.i am waiting for the third part,i think it will be more interesting.
also resident evil 3 was not as good as i was expecting,but it gave some good perspective about the 4th part

Well usually sequels are not that good because the directors and production companies rely mostly on the fame of the original rather than the quality of the upcoming movie.

Very true!
It's just to continue making money from the first one.
An example of two terrible sequels imo: Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions.
Mostly it's just me that thinks this!

They look the same don't they?
But still I don't consider it a sequel cause the plot is different. Same goes for the caracters.
The cast is almost the same but still they are toltaly different movies imo.

Yes, usually they are not as good as the first one.
another exception for me was Shrek 2. It made me laugh more than the first one

Snatch is much different and much better than Lock Stock and Two Smoking Skazi's.
The scene with the small dog that has a funny rubber ball inside its stomach that makes strange sounds is just hillarious.
