Hey bishes, been wondering of a way to obtain only the vocals from some tracks.
Is there some software for this? or do i have to effin' equalize away the shit? -sarcastic-

If its commercial tunes, just google the name of the tune/artist followed by the word accapella.

Peace.

+1

there is no possibility to get the vocal with an effect or special vst...you can also ask the owner for remix files, but I donŽt think, that youŽll get many positiv answers. But try!

There is an easy way of getting only the middle part of the stereo space (which is where lead vocals usually sit) - sometimes that plus some EQ may do the trick. But, to my knowledge, there is no way of cleanly separating just vocals from everything else that may sit in the center. At least not without involving surveillance techs from FBI or CIA.

Thats exactly how you do it.

You need the instrumental and the original. They both need to be the exact same quality.

Line them up perfectly and then phase invert a version and you'll just be left with the vocals as the phase inversion will cancel everything else out.

OMG I SO TOTALLY UNDERSTOOD THAT
ITS BRILLIANT

Oh god and i thought i wasted those 15minutes on learning why you cant layer a reverse kick with a normal kick of the same sample.

And since there is like a million of softwares to remove vocals for some reason, this should be sort of an ok job.
why did i never think of this by myself.
Hahahaha, wish me good luck~           http://soundcloud.com/li-fe

because for some reason there are programs that remove vocals and still keep the quality. But there are no VST's and so on that can remove everything but the vocals.

therefore you layer a version of the song without the vocals with the original track just reverse, making the whole shit cancel but the vocals. at least it should. o_0            http://soundcloud.com/li-fe
