After close to four years have passed since his last album release, Tim Larner from Australia is back again with his fourth studio album titled: The Space between. The title fits perfectly with this release as there is a lot happening in his tracks. From the first kick to the last, this release is signed Sensient all over the place, with those robo-chick one-or-two work vocals and his deep, deep (did I say DEEP?), and very progressive build-ups.

This release focuses more on the darker side of Sensient, moving away from those more electro influenced tracks we've found on his last album Anti-Fuoro. It's also great to see that Sensient is still a major force in today's psychedelic music scene and still manages to stay away from the more full-on, neo-full on, Isreali trance style of production.

With many techno influences, Sensient serves us The Space Between on a gold platter with an eight track album that, track after track, completes this great journey. This album definitely creates an atmosphere of sonar pleasure to those who like their music deeper than usual. If you like Sensient's style, then this album will not disappoint you at all. Yes, yes, those pounding dark basslines are definitely present in a few of the tracks in this one as well.

Recomendation: It's hard to describe sounds sometimes but this album is the equivalent of falling into a K-hole with no chance of waking up until the album is finished. Once it's done, all you feel like doing is falling back into that same altered state of reality.

Favorite tracks:2, 5, 8.

i've been listening to this album 2 days on my ipod now back from work, and its a really nice album. psychedelic and hypnotic, great grooves and sharp synths. The track i like the most i think is data kids.
But no name is pretty fucked up aswell. no bad tracks at all really.

good job!!

@ LAST, MASTER SENSIENT NEW PICE OF ART CAME OUT...IN MY OPINION IT'S A VERY COMPLETE ALBUM, WITHOUT BORING MOMENTS,SENSIENT SOUND GOT REALLY EVOLVED SINCE THE OFFWORLD EP...

I CAN'T CHOOSE A FAV FROM THE ALBUM, I THINK ALL THE TRACKS ARE OUTSTANDING, WITH IT'S OWN MICROCOSMIC WORLD, FROM THE DOOFIE BITCH THAT LAUGHS IN DOOF BITCH, TO THE VERY LOVELY NUBILE NUTS AND THE MOST HEART TOUCHING BREAK EVER IN SENSIENT'S MUSIC (AND JUNGLE WEAPON RMX...GOD, THESE ONE GIVE ME SHIVERS)...THE FUTURISTIC LANDSCAPE IN TEA & BISCUITS WITH THE WHIPS (REMIND ME SOMEHOW OF RHYTMIC TRANSPOSITION...BUT 10000 TIMES MORE COMPLEX)...
GEEZZUA...THX A LOT SENSIENT, U ARE THE BOSS!!!

NOW LET'S WAIT FOR TETRAMETH'S NEW ALBUM... ...IM PRETTY SURE IT'S GOIN TO BE A GODDAMN JEWEL...

Hail Zenon!!!

Another great piece of art by Sensient, more techish than the other albums, a little bit too proggy for me but still good!           http://www.myspace.com/minimalran

Just played alongside Tim a couple of weeks ago.
Heard this loud on a pretty ok but loud system.
Crisp as well and left everybody goin bonkers on the night... fat album! clean and crisp...... Data kids is my most favorite one from this..

All in all very nice evolution, still keeping the distinct sounds.... thumbs up!           www.braindrop.in
