I havnt really been following psytrance much as of late, and have recently become a lover of the subtleties of minimal techno.

Yes, if you're listening to just short ~1min audio samples on a website, you are not going to be able to get an appreation of the album/songs, as instead of changes occuring once every two mins in a song, the changes are subtle occurances happening over the entire lenght of the song.

Subtle changes in rythm, pattern, filters on various instruements and loops. They are slow building but worth the payoff IMO.

This CD reminds me of Plastikman, not in the minimalness of it, but also in the layering of effects, sounds and how the changes in it all evolve and merge together and get layered ontop of eachother.

I like the minimal/heady/loopy but slowly progressing sound that this CD seems to have going for it.

Each song is a journy that you really need to listen to from start to end to get a feel for it. I just went back and did a "skip to random parts", and it doesnt sound as good, but when you go from start to finish - its simply stellar.

I had pretty much all but given up on most psytrance after trying to get back into it after a year 'off of it', but this CD is a good example of the Zenon sound, I'll be making a point to check out more of their releases.

Great release, good to see psytrance still has some sense in it

Sensient is amazing, every track has so many sounds coming in and out yet it all flows so well. It sounds minimal, but it's really not, there's more going on in his music than in most of the full-on and progressive stuff. It is indeed TRANCE, it will zone you the f*#$ out.           Ovnimoon Records

whether you liked it or hated, here's an interview with sensient where we talk about a number of issues regarding his musical direction, pressure optimal, whats coming with zenon... i think it's interesting see things from the artists perspective regarding his sound as it has def evolved from his last album.

i got to say that this is an intelligent album. i usually dislike the minimal or progressive trance sound but this one must be the exception. yes, it's minimal but there is movement all the time: hooks and shuffles, tiny housy grooves and psychedelic inserts that keep you (or in this case me) interested. can't say that i really love it yet but i listened to it continuously from beginning to end (and am planing to do it again) and that's already incredible when we're talking about a miniprog trance release

i'd say this is one of the best trance albums of 2005 (if you include the positive surprise factor).

This album goes beyond what i wait for, it really get's u deep inside of the structure and goes all around your head, i love this album the bass lines are in some cases almost hypnotical the sound and all the production sound really master!!! Good music comes with a lot of work and time, Nice to hear this kind of work cause psychedelic music these day dont have that much post-work on it just quick tracks so u can be on a top 10 that sucks, Good for sensient i hope u keep making this music and experiment with all the sound that is around cause people there is more music outside of trance . Cheerss!!!           If u are Something, Dont ask for nothing
If u are Nothing, Dont ask for something

i just discovered the album after hearing the AEROGROOVE set(very good one btw),
and i must say i love it.

This is what night time trance should be imho.
And this is how it used to be in the 90's.
Today its all about fast BPM and vacum-cleaner/toilet sounds as Leads.
This on the other hand is pure trippy stuff(Rhythmic transposition is my favorite),i wish i would hear this kind of stuff @ night time in every party.

Double-Thumbs up!!!

This is really massive
Have been listening to this almost nonstop.
As good as Blue Neevus was, Tim's has really matured for Pressure Optimal.
Very intellegent, pumping psychedelia
Are there still ppl complaining about lack of interesting innovating stuff out there.
Well, look again.
It could not be more in your face than this piece of plastic.
The sound is dead serious but not without a sense of humour.
Easily this year's best album for me. Just keeps getting better and better and I have no doubt it wil continue doing so.
Masterpiece: I have not been this excited about "dance music" in years.
Thank you
No flaws for me so far. Only a suggestion. When you blend those extremely interesting non-electronica melodies into your tracks, the electronic beats kick in in a very similar manner. No idea if any more variation is possible, but could be something to look into.
Well, I will go back to listening to Pressure Optimal.           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

I see i haven't commented on this album. Perhaps cause i'm speechless. Perhaps not as effective at home as in dancefloor. Where it just shreds to pieces.
Awesom-o!
9/10 from me.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me
