Ok, not really  Just want to clear something up.
I made a few jokey posts yesterday to try and lighten up a daft thread about banning dark trance (a thread which was probably a joke itself) and noticed that today they are gone - no explanation - nothing - and the thread is locked so i can't even reply.
I've read the rules for this forum but i can't seem to find the one about not having a sense of humour and not taking life too seriously. I can understand that they were off-topic (and stupid) but a bit of discretion (and an explanation) wouldn't go a miss, guys.
Perhaps i've got this wrong but i thought this was a relaxed, good-natured and democratic forum for people who like psytrance - not some over-serious anal hangout for po-faced miserable sods. If i've made a mistake then i apologise in advance but i just think that maybe you should sometimes have a bit more respect for the members of this forum ( even the dopy ones ) - because (and with respect to you) without the members - 'you wouldn't be moderating shit' 
Seriously, though - this is a great forum (that's why myself and several thousand others came here) and i know that you are just doing your jobs - but go easy on us, guys and allow for the odd bit of flexibility and variety (and stupidity lol).

hi Dawn,
humor is great - i love jokes. i think they are the essence of life.. keeping that in mind - let me say that some topics get completely derailed by humor and offtopic comments. you really have to think about what the other side is feeling when you are posting something, especially on the internet where noone can see you facial expressions, not everyone has perfect english skills, etc... i deleted some of your posts in another thread - not because i dont like you or your humor is not appreciated... but because it was not related to the topic in a harmful way to its root idea.

i think the mods have been very easy as of late on topics.. its just the occassional "nudge" into course again... you have to understand our guidelines that discuss "respect" to one another, this is how we would like things to be here ideally... please dont see the the mods as striking down on humor... thats hardly the case.

Thanks for the reply Surrender - much appreciated.
I just think that the occasional joke or bit of daftness works like a reality check when threads are getting 'heavy' - kind of like saying 'don't take this too seriously - life's too short'. Personally i think it actually helps to defuse tension rather than harm the 'root of the idea'.
I didn't post to be malicious or disrespectful - but still, i understand your point of view.
It is also a little off-putting posting in a forum when you know that your posts could be deleted at any time without a word of explanation. Censorship aside, it just makes it seem a bit pointless even bothering.
Anyway - thanks again, mate. Take it easy and all the best.

Moderators can't delete a post with no expelnation, they just dont have that option, exactly for the reason you've mentioned - we think that every person who posts deserves respect and that the least that can be done when a post is deleted is to give that person an explanation, even if it is a short one or a template one.
Moreover, usually the moderator's name comes with the deletion PM and that way you can ask him directly if it's not clear to you why your post has been deleted.
Check your IIMS inbox, read the messages you got from our lovely Arafela, and if still in doubt, don't hesitate to ask.
