HD 25 is the top gear
25 II is something else , but also pritty good headphones for sure
still if its the magic you after the more expensive ones are the real deal , complete block of outer noise , mad loudness , with high quality , i like!

HD25. Once you go Black you never go back. 
Seriously.
I think the HD25-1 II are spec'd just a bit below the standard HD25.
