Seems like you got me wrong, guyz, my post wasn't an excuse or justifying the stealing. Plz reread, I don't like this business.
I was just trying to explain some things for those of you who are trying to think constructively, to find the ways to solve problems & not just stickin' the labels "lame" or "robbery". In this case imo it's a distribution w/ special prices..
Saikosounds does ship to Russia (not the case w/ Psyshop afaik), I'm buying there about 5 disks a month, approx. 1/5 of new releases I like. But many ppl, especially young & students, don't even have such possibilities. Of course they can steal money like gangsters, but maybe there is another way to get fav. music, besides stealing money from artists or becoming a mafiosi, and maybe some of us will find this way, somehow, just reflecting a bit..

Labels can start mailing hosters about this, but how can hoster close site, if it has no mp3 at host?
worst sh!t is pirated cds. you can buy'em at any place in Russia. moscow, saint-peterburg ... every city. good polygraphy and jewel box cds, that you can buy for 2.5 euro. BNE, Twisted, Spun, Dejavu, YSE, Dragonfly, Iboga stuff to name few.
people listen to mp3s. this is fact.
usually it's just lack of good sound system at home and they don't know why they need to buy originals.
only some guys buy originals. respect to them. |
