Hello fellow Isratrance-ers,

My name is Cloudwalker.
I've been browsing and reading Isratrance for years now.
I love the community and variety of information available on such amazing music.
I think it's time to start getting active on these forums.

I haven't decided to post until now, but I just finished a new song and wanted to share it with you.
(I hope that doesn't seem too conceited)
=============================================
Selfish Orange Trees
http://twistedsessions.com/artists/515/audio.php

It's my first "real" track in over 2 years.
Heavily inspired by the likes of Scilly Automatic and Evildoers by Ott...
I've been working on this one for over 4 months now. You figure 1-8 hours a day....120 days....
Let's just say there's been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears put into this one.

Everything in this track was done by me. No loops or sample libraries.
This is also my first track with live recorded percussion and sound effects.
I wrote this track to tell a story, and recreate the feelings and atmosphere from that event.
Without going into too much detail, it's about 3 beloved relatives as they embark on a twisted and deranged journey into their own minds.

"What happens when you're stripped of all ego, and you try to eat an orange?
You realize, then, that the orange tree is selfish because their fruits are only half-edible.
And by that logic, all things are possible..."

Subject to interpretation.
and, of course, open to comments, suggestions, and critiques.

Thank for listening

much love,
Jace (Cloudwalker)

excellent friend Cloudwalker
loved so many sounds in there, but melodica got me so much man and those old 70's keyboards , big big bravo my friend , i adore dub music and you made something very very interesting and DUUUUB man .. i want to suggest one thing though, put a fat fat bass behind the hole scene and not because bass rox and such shit , just to have a nice big bottom end to make a more "fat" mix(will give some more groove too) , you got so much space in there and its crafted beautiful ,have nothing more to add and you can ignore what i suggested as well, waiting this one to be published next twisted compilation
very nice aspect and taste Cloudwalker
keep it going mate
ps. do you like Augustus Pablo?
btw its not hypnotic at all, quite the opposite, its awakening music & revelatory

@gutter
Thank you sooo much for the kind words!
They really mean alot to me. Inspiring!
You're not the first to mention the bass.
I may play around with it a bit more.

BIG fan of the Pablo as well...

listening..

wow, the intro is wonderful, nice range of sounds. love how the kinda morbid atmosphere transforms into a liquid warm vibe.

the synthwork here is indeed pretty oldschoolish but it fits excellently. 2:15 is a nice trippy passage now. great composition, mixing wise aswell, I think that every element has its own place in space and spectrum which is nice.

5:30 - interesting vocals at that passage. Very deranged for sure. ahhh, a great melody again. very nice synthwork now.
7:19 - awesome, also how this melody transforms into the outro theme is brilliant.

this track has so many different stages yet they are all connected very well by the hypnotic beat+bass. I can tell there is a lot of work behind this, but it paid off 100%. Awesome journey, I love the story you thought out for this. Thanks for the music!

I can definitely hear the Ott influence..the melodies remind me of the Hallucinogen In Dub CD, kinda swaying between that haunting sound and bright euphoric stuff. Keep em coming.           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?
