Im sure this has been discussed before... but search was not helpful!

All of us know theres a lot of music happening in our lives from time to time!
When you first get an album or compilation how many times do you listen, to grow into or with it? do you listen to all the tracks at one go.. or just read a review and go with the flow?
Are there loads of those compilations and albums on your hdd that are untouched by your ears? every now n then do you discover a crazy track from an older compilation..?
Nothing is said that has not been said before.

It depends. Some albums are bought and not fully appreciated until years later. I experienced that with the Orichalcum - Live album. At the time I got it I thought: It's okay. Now I think it's superb. Ooze's 'Where the fields never end' is another story just like that.

Then there are other albums that are bought and which I believed to be instantly great. Jaia - Fiction, Son Kite - Colours.

And then there's the category of albums that are bought thinking they were great, and thinking that for some time, but after repeated listening they don't stand out as well as they used to. An example for me is: Elysium - Monzoon. Nowadays I almost never listen to that anymore. I just grew out of it. Strange but true.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."
