hello
I am wanting to form a group, or collective, of people that would like to organize and metaprogram a party. i see it being a group that has small, free, underground parties in the city (during the winter) and outside during the summer, where the line-up is never pre-announced, and it would have maximum 300 people.
i would like to collaborate with people who resonate with this.
As for the type of psychedelic trance, i envision VERY psychedelic music, but whether that be light or dark, they can't be without the other.
Ok, also, I had this idea that the group who throws these parties will be secret. It would be nice that the party is started by the time people get there, to give the effect that the party has always been going on, it just dropped into this cross section of space time. This is perfect for those who feel the call to contribute, but don't want spotlighted attention.
Now is the time to bring a higher vibe , because, really, it is up to us, in a way. . .
So, this would be in san francisco or the area.

If I was in SF I would love to become involved 100%. It sounds like my kind of events and you are right SF is the perfect place to start something like this. |

i am willing to help out. i am in a collective that has similar goals, our past few parties have been just 5 dollar donations (if you can afford it) to help cover costs. in summer there is alot of land in the forest areas that renegades are thrown, so this can be accomplished with good planning. ..i heard that certain parks, even golden gate, you can rent the land for a day party, for a deposit that you can get back if you clean it up afterwards, as long as the event is non- profit. anyway you can email me if you need help.. |

wow this is a great idea!!!!! I couldn't resist posting in to this . I am in full agreement with Bertzerker about the land use, there are tones of underground indoor spaces as well, you just have to search them out. keeping the lineup secret is risky when first starting out but it could work. my friends and I have put on the Phoenix Family parties in and around SF for the last 5 years, they are ususaly just like your vision. 300 people if were lucky, the scene isn't that big yet, but spirited beyond belief . Not to self promote but if you havn't been to any of the Syncronize party on Wednesday's you should all check out our weekly freakout. we are trying to stay as intimate and fun with the event as we can but still have big name dj's play for the smaller/truer fans, its good to have a party where everyone can know or meet everyone. anyways its a great place to spread party info. My most important point is to bring up the music that I have been creating over the last 5 years, it has been crafted with just this sort of party in mind, so count me in just to be the entertainment. . . I'll also pull my weight.
