@zork
it limited in regards to the resolutions. so take care when planning to integrate a big screen.. and for the price you get two cheap graphic cards so i don´t see the point? except for laptop users who want a multiple screen setup..
@acidkills
so big cars are only for people who can´t drive? |

Disagree. With the amount of plugins and mixer channels used nowdays, much bigger space is needed. I use a 22 inch wide monitor and i have to switch from mixer to playlist and vice versa all the time. Would love to have double that space - one monitor for sequencing and the other for mixer and plugins.

Sequencer on one sreen and mixer and vst`s on the second screen.
Its just so much easier writing with two screens.
These days you dont even need a second monitor. I send my 2nd screen out through my laptops RCA/video out and in to any tv with an av input.

fast working would´nt even be possible with only one 24" widescreen (1920*1200 highest resolution...), because it cuts of my vst´s in the middle lol... thats what i noticed after i bought it... now im afraid to buy a second 24" widescreen because the broadness of these 2 screens would affect the triangle to much (space between monitors & me)... that means that the screens would cover the direct acoustic noise from monitors to me... only solution would be, to make the triangle bigger... >.<
anyone got experience with 2x 24" widescreen?
greetings^^

Well look like that microsoft research is wrong, I used twins and shift on one slightly bigger lcd and have no necessities for two screens.. I can easily arrange 50 mixer channel in one view in cubase.. And in ableton u gotta hit tab to go to the arrangement anyway.. Im not saying twins are bad, just that u dont need it if u know how to arrange your space..
But orgytime given only one good reason for 2 monitors and that is widening up the triangle..

Well like you said acid..in Live its almost a one sreen sequencer and you don`t really have to switch inbetween arranger view and session view..but if you want you can solve it with just hitting tab..same with logic 8..but i use cubase and i worked with one screen..and thats definatly not that compfortable like with two screens now..imaoo
but i wonder if that usb thing got like GPU with 3-D engine or direct X support...hehe
well,anyway..i just got the macmusic letter this morning and it sounds kind of funny so i thought i would share it..

By the way,
There was a thread here with video from S. Posford's studio, and i liked his way of mixing. No screen used at all when mixing, just mixer desk and monitors. Nice approach imho.
