i meant for artists posting their own releases here. kukan dub lagan, kickbong and many more post their stuff here and get virtually no attention. this DJ set with music by pink floyd and bob marley gets 34 replies - i think it just proves my point. also, i dont say this to mean or anything - its just an observation

There's a lot of music that gets posted on these blue pages. Not all of it can capture everyone's imagination and feeling. Sometimes it might be only one or two people who reply to a post. But you know more have looked at it and probably had a listen to something.
There's no obligation to post. Although, that said, if nobody posted then yes, it would be pretty dead here.

isra has a timeless quality, and is the only place i post or search about new music. i'm a recluse... compliments and sharing of my soul are rare. for all you regular posters (artists and otherwise) know there are lots of timeless family i see regularly through the many many years and appreciate even that one timeless music gem like an eternity. xerxes, i found your music here and regularly enjoy. you're in my latest mix. i mix and share rarely... follow a few on soundcloud. quality > quantity. cheers to all the seen and unseen here...

see, words like those means so much to us artists. we spend lots of time doing music, but most of us can not make a living from it - it is just a passion of life. i would assume most listeners of our music also share this same passion.. there is so much music out there, but somehow, we seem to share the same taste _here_ (on isratrance, the ambient forum).. so it saddens me to see kickbong and itay (just to mention a few) get no response here. those few lines from you moksha means the world to us, it gives us inspiration, hope and the will to keep doing what we do. we are not superstars, we will never be - but we do want to be heard and get a little feedback. i think anyone who tries to be creative wants this... and isratrance used to be the place for all of this.
regardless, thank you very much for your kind words moksha - it is good to see that even if we are few, we are still here. and we are listening, not arguing
