Hello people!!

I would like to know if someone could direct me to a site where i can find screenshots of the eq of a track for example a screenshot of the bass eq, one of the kick, another on the hi hats, etc etc...This forum has always been to me a very good open resource to find information it is like an opensource knowledgebase and it is really helpful, i have learned quite a few things just by reading some posts or creating some others. So i would really be thankful if someone can provide me with either a link to a site with the screenshots, or with the screenshots themselves which would be deluxe! Because i am really interested in getting to learn a bit more on how to eq since it is a very important part of the whole process. So any advise i am more than thankfull for it in advance!!

This is useless because eq will always look different,am I wrong? There's no right way when eqing, just remove mud and use ears

google the free "andi vax mixing secrets" video,
there you can see some equalisation, but for the rest, you will need to practice your ears... like me

My skills are quite basic!
Remove unwanted freqs bellow 30hz and up 17khz...
Cut a bit on some zones to gain space and avoid spectrum overlap..
Boost a bit on the note freq, fundamentals.
All by ear.
Things tend to get a little messy when I eq too much.

I found this video:

There's pro magic that can be done on EQ!

Nice video!

Yeah there are so many tools that can give you so much control, but always firstly focus on the musical aspect then later on you can tweak and try things to push things to a new level..

Anyway he asked for it!

Actually it isnt. You have to concentrate on tweaking the sound in synth rather than using hell a lot of eq. Once you have good sound, set the volume levels of instruments you are mixing - Once you have good volume balance in your mix, you don't need to use eq more than 1-5db.

Making music is just about your ears and your visions. There are no global setups for any instruments, comp or eqs cos it's different situation every time. Trust your ears

Just play with an eq (EQ has to be the last thing to do) and try to make your mix sound as your visions. by the time you'll learn to do all stuff faster and you hear the problem frequences right away.

1.good sound from synth
2.find the VOLUME balance carefully
3.eq, not more than 1-5db

this is actually the best tip on this stuff one can truely give ya!!!

people always talkin here about eq and compression and how important all that stuff is.

but yes, .....its exactly the opposite. completely unnecessary when u know how to get the shit out of your synth.

both is not to smooth out the mistake u made before.
