Title: Scorb
Artist: Scorb
Label: Ambivalent Records

Tracklist:
1. Special Liquid
2. 13.5 Hours
3. The Aquarium
4. Oracle
5. Mutoid
6. Drum War
7. Klangman
8. Metabolic Activity
9. Psycore
10. Stupid Science

Scorb, following through with the monster tracks he has released on the recent Ambivalent comps, has finally come through with his first artist album, and it delivers all that has been promised. Scorb is a finely tuned, exquisitely produced voyage into trance where all the subtle layers of this genre are explored and turned inside out; from the ambient leanings of ‘The Aquarium’, into the progressive beats of ‘Special Liquid’, and through the other side into the digital insanity of ‘Psycore’. This album proves without a doubt that Scorb, fuelled by magical MDMA, is on some crazy, fucked up and ever upward exponential curve that is taking him to the very top of the psychedelic trance tree.

AMBIVALENT RECORDS - Scorb - Scorb CD

After being featured on all of Ambivalent records Compilations in the last 2years, the time for a Debut release has come.
Scorb is Ambivalent Records newest release, continuing the authentic, dark, twisted, groovy and psychedelic sound, I have grown to love & get accustom to.
Scorb, takes us through a delightful journey enhanced with glamour & insight, Dark, enhanced with warm baselines & power.
The CD opens with "Special Liquid", excellent warm, groovy baseline running throughout the track, spicing things up completely, will satisfy home listeners and ravers alike.
13.5 hours comes next, it was previously featured on Ambivalent R previous Compilation - Contra Polar Activity, loaded with sound FX, playing though & around the track, solid bass/kick, slowly built but once it hits the break there is no turning back.
No. 3 - The Aquarium - in 3 words "sweet & charming" skillfully produced by Saint-Saens, oblique sounds, capturing a feeling of total spacey floatation, chymes playing around embracing a somewhat soft medieval atmosphere. WOW
Scorb returns with Mutoid (Extended version, the original was featured on Creeping Ambivalent Tendencies CD) freestyle drum work, soft bouncy baseline, piano effects, deep & progressive with a spoon of emotion bearing a soft Goa twist to it.
From this point the album gradually increases the power and the twistedness right till the very end.
To sum it all up, this is a solid release by a very promising artist, diverse in style - from deep progressive crunches to hard and powerful dance floor sprinkles, all bearing a distinct character.
Favorites: 1, 3, 6, 8, 9

Killer CD - very innovative, sometimes reminded me of Penta in its musicality. Nice crunchy and tweaky sounds, great atmospheres, first half is pure listening pleasure, second half is dancefloor mayhem. excellent. 9/10

A very fine album that meshes well with Penta... tracks 7, 9, and 10 are all proven dancefloor destroyers that I play out frequently. People love the break in Psycore with the rough and tumble beats... well, its also fairly good outside of the party setting when you want something fairly high-energy, and there is enough diversity on this disc to keep many psy fans pleased. Recommended full-on stuff!

I actually started to listen to this album about a month ago. Odd since this is released in 2003, but it still beats most of the 2005 releases. To me this sounds like a timeless classic

Ditto.
This album is a prime example of how Full-on should sound. Fresh, melodic, pounding and what's this word i forgot lately?
Ah, yes, Psychedelic!
The Tchaikovsky remake on the 4th track is just brilliant.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me
