I am tenatively booked for a show in Austin around August 7th. What I would like to know is, what style of psy are the headz in Austin into?? If some of you who live near or in Austin could give me some feedback on how the parties are out there, that would really help me when I am putting together my set for that show.

hmm interesting August 7th you say... would this be Polaris' doing?
well, bring it dark and twisted like the SFreaks and I will be very happy!!!
what i can say for most of the general crowd is that they have not had enough exposure to the music, so I wouldn't say they have a preference of sound. The crowds in Texas dance hard and will like what you play from dark to full on to progressive/minimal stuff. There are a few psytrance djs here and alot of Israeli stuff is played. But, I think like i said you should bring it dark and hard cause we love that stuff and don't get enough of it. The stuff Neuromotor was spinning was really getting the floor going when we had him, if that gives you a hint... |

There's a small bunch of dedicated dark psy fans here, so you'll be in good hands. We don't hear much dark trance at Austin parties so it's most welcome.
Lately 've heard mostly "pop" trance being played here, every party is starting to sound like a Chemical Crew rock show (no offence, i'm just tired of that sound and vibe).
I personally love the russian sound, though anything else on the darker side will do just fine...
Btw, where is this party? Please PM me if it is not going to be posted here.

I haven't been given the location of the event yet. Polaris did ask me to come out and play this show... Thanks, I am going to play some nastiness for you all then... hehehe
