hey people, 1. is it worth buying a sb live for DEMO production, or should i stick with my current card? 2. when i make mp3s through Fruity Loops, the volumes of the tracks vary greatly although i keep the recording volume steady in fruloops. Any ideas? thanx! |

1. If you want to buy a sound card for music production then you should invest a little more in a more professional sound card.
2. You can always normalize the final track in a wave editor. |

Well Michael, i will invest on serious hardware as soon as i get the andvance payment:):) from, let's say, flyin rhino:). Till then i'm asking whether buying an SBlive is worth the extra money or not. |

SBlive is not a pro audio card, but it's got nice environmental fx, it has nice soundfonts...and it supports 3d audio + is a killer gaming sound card....and here in israel it's not so costy ... so i bought it in the meanwhile :] it can go 48000 Hz in 16 bit, which is enough for me now. can Fruity Loops work in 48000 at all ???

i've seen both and from my exp, if you don't want to invest much, buy a normal 128 card which is even cheaper than the live, and download some sound enhancment progs from the web |
