Once, someone asked me what kind of music do I like. i said trance. he said. ooh....
People Don't respect trance. so I decided to answer to this q in another way.
"what kind of music do you like?"
"Psychedelic"
"interesting. can you explain more?"
I am not saying that we should be ashamed in trance but...I dont know.
tell me what do u think about it.

I think Trance is much different than Psytrance. They are distinct music styles.
whenever someone asks what kind of music I like, my answer is: Psytrance or Psychedelic Trance.
Now, explain what is psytrance is a hard job.
IMO we should never say trance. We go for Psytrance.

i always refer to it as "psychedelic trance"... the word "trance" is to general and does not define the true essence of psytrance

psy can be anything (ambient ,drun'n bass..) with psychedelic elements for the mind!
trance is 4x4 rhythm...for the body!
open ur mind , lose ur body.
this is the meaning of psytrance.
