how are they made? i came close to some... but mine are not so nice, they come out a bit too rough. im looking for those well known sounds that are in many tracks since the 90's.

for example "Jirah - Disconnect", "Pixel - Smart Planet"
those sounds....

I've done similar sounds very easily with V-Station.
Just FM a sine wave with a saw(or vice-versa, don't remeber wich), and adjust the modulating frequency so it sounds right.

If you are talking about those Wziiiauuuyyyzzz sounds that are included in almost every dark&twisted kinda song, I'm looking for the same thing. I have tried making some in Vanguard byt twisting alot, and I get some results, but they arent rreally what I want... Hehe.

If this is the sound Im looking for, I do this: choose saw on both oscillators, hipass filters, twisting the speed on the LFO's and major cutoff + loads of equalizing. Still, I cant really get what I'm looking for...

When I tweak the cutoffs on both LFO and filters, I still get a kinda "noisy" take on the sounds... not the clean and deep whirling I want.

So if this is what you are looking for, I hope someone can tell me (us) how. I saw a tutorial kinda thing, but it was based on the NordLead... wich I guess most people dont have, or at least not yet. So, if anyone could tell me how to make these sounds in Albino2/Vanguard/Discovery/Z3ta+, I'd be grateful.

I hope this was what you guys are talking about, but I cant know for sure bcause I havent listened to the samples posted (I'm at school now)

Cheers!
