Hi everybody! I have a simple question. What is remix in case of psychedelic trance? How much parts can I change, edit, delete and add that the track will be still recognizable? Or, maybe, recognizability isn't important and there is no rules? I'm curious, because I used to think about remix like in a pop song, where you can change all parts besides vocal and maybe solo and it would be still recognizable. But in psychedelic trance it is not so easy to single out the main part. I hope that a couple of words from experienced people will help me to clarify this.

Yes, there is no limitations I believe. I like to hear remixes that are much more than just a re-arrangement of the original track.
I want to hear new sounds and new ideas. Go crazy and be creative!           .............................................

Will there be any kind of free digital release from the non-winning remixes? An EP on Ektoplazm, or something like wouldn't be bad.

Btw, my remix is in progress, but so far it's just ideas and patterns thrown together, so nothing to show so far, but I'll be ready before jan 1, for sure!

I was actually thinking of doing that just the other day. It's a good idea.

So that's what i'll do

Best remix get's a spot on the e.p, the next 5 will get put on an e.p for free release.
For the free release I would love to hear different genres, not just dark psy, so get creative with it

Peace!           .............................................

Why has this been moved here when none of the other remix threads have?

Oh well.

One more month to go.
E.P artwork is nearly ready and all the other tracks are ready to send off to terrafractyl for mastering, all we need is the winning remix           .............................................
