Hi all, here are 2 tracks I have written recently that I am happy with (that doesn't happen all that often)

Hope you enjoy them

mixing to me is just what it sounds like - mixing the different sounds that you've picked out together and having them sound good in relation to each other without clashing or sticking out...

the general starter 'rules' that I see around here tend to be:

1 - 'aim' to peak your track at -6 DB. This is good practice because this leaves a good amount of headroom for mastering engineer or yourself later on.

2 - start with your kick/bass and everything else zero'd out - make it so that your kick/bass are peaking in between -7 and -10 DB and then mix in everything else to taste.

apart from that - just do what sounds good. The more you mix, the more precise your ear will get. You also need to develop a good working relationship with essential tools like EQ, delay, reverb etc.

Try stuff. See what sounds good - rinse repeat

Is this in reference to my mixing?

I am a little confused by your statements, they seemed to be aimed at something, just can't tell what.           .............................................

Thanks for your feedback though Would love for some specific thoughts on these songs. Always helps to hear the things you do wrong so you can improve

About track no1 bass & kik dont work right for me when there kind of same so theres no feeling of an real kik in . Imo the intro is too long (01:09 ) and empty when nothing realy serious happen in .

Track 2 Some cool area's , Here you can hear the kik But there places bass is in the backround . Most of all i like 06:03 to end (There place for more levels and sounds in) .

Keep the good work m8

Thanks mate

Yeah the kik does sound a bit distant in the first track, might have to beef it a tiny bit, and in the second maybe bring it down.

The first track is the intro track to my album which is going to be a conceptual album about the dawn of the universe. The start is meant to represent the nothingness before the big bang.

Thanks for the feedback hey! :_)           .............................................
