I have read many things in this forum so i dont get suprised when i see people actually supporting drugs and its culture.
All i have to say is that drugs kill the psychedelic trance scene in various ways from creating bad vibes between people into parties to being the main cause for police forces to bust events.

Hmmm....and i was wondering why there are no good parties in amsterdam...it's obvious...too many BAD VIBES between people LOL
laughing my arse off  DETOX i don't think that drugs alone create problems to the dance scene but drugs in conjunction to other circumstances...but that's another big topic analysed over and over i guess..
Not a problem with what you say guys but most of your replies are smthng like :
Drugs are bad
Drugs destroy peoples lives
Drugs are a menace 2 society
Fuck drugs...
and so on...so on...so on..
What i don't see is any reasons,any backing up for your words.
It would be nice to proceed and make an in depth conversation and not stay at the surface of things..
and no harm feelings or anything, we're just talking and exchanging ideas and opinions |

first of all if there was a worldwide day against cell phones, i would be here, on the first line, opening a thread against cell phones. but it's not. this is a topic against drugs.
secondly, yes you are right, the world is in decay so what do we do? take drugs yeah thats the answer!! some more decay for ya!
so don't go hiding behind cell phones, and soft drinks, and the fucked up ecosystem just to excuse the huge burn out of brain cells is not the way boy!!
been there done that my friend.. i used to say to myself that it's ok to get fucked because everything else in the world is, or it's ok to get destroyed cause so are my friends or ppl at parties...
but it's not!!!!
so don't even think that using drugs is the same as using a cell phone..and don't go posting messages like that cause there are people that have never taken drugs in their life, and might actually think it's ok when they read your post.
so take more than a minute to think about it, cause you're way of my friend!!

Age_Of_Panic if you like being in parties where everybody is drugged and looks like a chicken with a stupid smile on his face (cause thats how it is in Amsterdam) then ok thats your opinion and i cannot do anything more about it than respect it.I have some videos here from festivals like Mystery Land and such in Holland and i can only laugh with the people that attend these events,i mean everybody is looking like Mister Bean when he tries to show the most stupid face he can on his shows.
In Greece some people have died in parties because of overdose,many fights have begun in parties because of drugged people and because of drug dealers fighting for 'their territory',many parties have been busted because parents reported to the authorities that their kids were coming home in the morning hours looking like zombies and that drug trafficing is taking place in 'rave' parties.
If these facts cannot convince you that drugs are doing bad to the psychedelic trance scene then sorry but you are living on another planet.
Any substance that damages your brain and offers you illusions and some happy time BUT doesnt allow you to be sobber and see how the real world looks like is a menace for society and the human kind.I dont know if i sound like my grandmother but thats how things are like.
People that say that 'drugs open a new door to your mind and allows you to see things from a different perspective' are weak people who cannot face reality and seek an escape through these substances.We all know where do these people end,either in jail or in grave or in being homeless and begging for food and their dosage or at a shirnks office seeking for professional advices and medication in order to deal with their brain damage and psychological problems.
And because we are talking about music here i have to inform you that MANY of psy trance scene artists have ruined their lifes because of drugs and even now are trying to recover from this situation,i wont mention names but i am talking about very very well known artists here that you all have seen and heard.

well.This forum is for the trance scene and not for the greenpeace moovement.The problem for our scene are DRUGS and not the air polution or the plastic food.We -as event organisers- don't think that drugs are a minor problem.It is a HUGE problem and people who support drugs,so fucking obviously,are DANGEROUS.You may have pased the "weekend high"years ,But 18 year old trancers must first be informed about the efects of xtc and lsd.Leaflets with specific info are coming out always on eternal motion's events.
So we consider all the "DRUGS ARE FINE"people
at least confused.We consider the drug dealers as a threat for the scene.We clearly PROTEST against drugs even if we know that we will loose people from our events.
LOUD AND CLEAR.You like it or not, be ware,We had enough with drugs!!!!

The anti-drug leaflets are made by drug-expert doctors.And they are in the Greek language.It is dificult to translate and understand.READ IT CAREFULLY.

Dear twinkle i'm not hiding behind anything,if you can't get what i'm saying then it's not my fault...
I was just trying to point out that if future generations as you said will experience health problems in the future
it wont be because of the drugs...or drugs alone.Drugs will have just a minimal participation.It's that simple!

But you still would be using a cell phone?(I bet you have one)
Then my friend this is hypocrisy...if you care so much about future generations you shouldn't even use
cell phones or pesticides or never eat mac donalds again!
Of course you can't do all that and i'm not asking you to (if you do then you're my God)
but you simply choose which to do and which not,
and always with a medium and putting a limit 2 everything.
The choice is different for every person.
So let me enjoy drugs and you enjoy cell phones or mcdonalds or whatever...
And if you're afraid of me corrupting persons who have never taken substances...i don't think i
encouraged anyone to try.
What i believe is that If you want you can try drugs but don't get stuck to it.
Just because you had bad experience with drugs doesn't mean
that the same thing will happen to anyone else!

If you see people that use drugs as the enemy then as Xrtc said you are misled.

For your information , it was never proven that the mobile cell phones can cause harm to a persons health , as an effect to electromagnetic radiation.

sorry to dissapoint you delight, but psysicians and other scientists have proved that every minute someone talks on the mobile phone, there is a certain damage being caused to the brain cells. now, for this damage to be non-permanent, brain needs one minute of non cell phone activity (in order for the brain cells to come back to their initial state). every time we talk more than a minute on the phone (without letting our brain cells return to their initial state) the damage is permanent...
in greek: i paramorfosi sta kyttara einai elastiki otan gia kathe lepto pou milame, afinoume allo ena lepto na perasei xoris na milame sto kinito. otan ipervenoume to ena lepto tote i paramorfosi sta kyttara mas einai plastiki (pou simenei monimi, den epanerxode diladi stin arxiki tous katastasi).
this for a more scientific approach on the effect of cell phones... sorry for the bit off-topic, but it had to be cleared, since delight thought it is so important to talk about cell phones in this thread.

Dear Mike i have the impression that some posts in this topic are off topic. The topic is about antidrugs day and when we say drugs is clear that we dont talk about mobile phones or some legal drugs like alcohol & cigarettes... I established the same in another topic about the effect of lsd at psychedelic music where the 2 of 3 pages of this topic are about the effect of lsd in human brain.
As moderator take the initiative in separating some posts to another topics cause the off topic posts may give rise to difficulties in the communication between us and disorientate the discussion
