This will be the 20th edition of our "almost monthly" Pulsar indoor/bar gatherings, and the second Pulsar at our new location, Suzuran Restaurant in Gardena, CA!

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Expect a night full of some of the world's most cutting edge electronic dance music. Your ears will be guided by some of the most dedicated professionals in the Southern California electronic music and dance scene. These individuals have been hand selected for their tireless efforts in bringing the most modern electric sounds from around the globe to the Southern California Electronic Music and Dance scene; and now to YOUR ears, for your aural enjoyment!
The goal of PULSAR is to regularly bring together an eclectic mix of different, yet equally modern electronic dance music styles, into a united environment where many styles can be discovered, thrive, and be appreciated. In each edition of PULSAR, one can expect new and exciting sets from PULSAR residents; along with rotating guest DJ spots from the most promising up and coming, as well as long established DJ's in the scene.
This 20th edition of Pulsar will not only be taking place on a Saturday night, but we will also be starting one hour earlier than usual! To open the night, Pulsar resident HANZ DWIGHT will play us a mellow and groovy set of PROGRESSIVE HOUSE and TECHNO; setting the vibe right for the night to come. Next up, Pulsar is happy to welcome back another member of the Pulsar family, DAYV; well known throughout the southern California dance community for his signature twist of TECHNO and TECH-HOUSE with a MINIMAL and PSYCHEDELIC edge. Taking the reigns next, Pulsar resident/organizer ST BLACK will be bringing us on a journey with his unique blend of deep, mature, and emotional TECHNO. As the night moves along, Pulsar is happy to welcome back a good friend of the Pulsar family, SYNCHRONOMETRY! Bruce has quickly established himself as one of today's fastest rising stars in the southern California tribal music community. Well known for playing a variety of music styles, Bruce will transition the night's energy starting with the sounds of PSYCHEDELIC TECHNO, and moving upwards into the musical dimensions of PROGRESSIVE PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE. As the night draws later, Pulsar resident/organizer, KAHN will take the decks. Steven will be bringing his signature blend of today's latest and greatest FULL-ON PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE, emphasizing melodic, uplifting, and funkadelic sounds! Finally as we reach the last set of the night, Pulsar is happy to welcome back CHRISTINE after her earth shaking set at Festivus Psychedelius in December! Christine is well known throughout the California psychedelic trance community for her powerful psychedelic morning sound. On this night Christine will be keeping the energy strong with a hard set of FULL-ON PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE!
As the hour draws later, the energy will continue to build well through closing, leaving dancers wondering when the next PULSAR will be held!
So we hope you will join us for PULSAR V.20! You will be TRULY happy that you did!
And on behalf of the PULSAR team, we would like to thank each and every person who made it out to any or all of the Pulsar events we have held so far; making all of them such unforgettable nights! These events have been filled with positive energy, love, support, amazingly friendly vibes, and have certainly bestowed a purpose on the PULSAR organizers to continue organizing these events for the sake of the dancers! You all make this possible, and we wouldn't be able to do this without your support! We do this for you, the electronic dance community!
We would like to thank Luxy101 in the city of Industry for being our host throughout 2011 and 2012! We will never forget the memories of all the great times we had there!
We would also like to send a special thank you to Stubby's Bar for hosting Pulsar during our first year, 2010-2011. None of us will forget all the awesome times we have had there. The owners and staff of Stubby's Bar will always have our gratitude, respect, and support.
ART/VISUALS:
At PULSAR we strive to create a fun, comfortable, energetic, and psychedelic environment for our dancers/patrons. With our limited pool of personal resources, we have a small collection of lights/black lights, wall hangings, and other miscellaneous pieces of decor. This is of course in addition to all of the sound equipment we are already bringing. We are always making an effort to enhance the visual experience of our PULSAR events, such that they only improve as time progresses. A large chunk of any donations we receive go towards Art/Visuals.
Of course we are well aware that in our community there are many artists, and others just waiting to express their hidden talents. That is why, in an effort to help the local art community, as well as to enhance the vibes of our already fantastic PULSAR events, we welcome artists professional, casual, or anything in between, who would like to contribute to the visual appeal of our events, and put their work out on display. Of course you are responsible for your artwork. I cannot guarantee the safety of your art pieces due to obvious circumstances created between dancers, beverages, and everything else. I am willing to work with you, to figure out the correct placement, or any other details to make this work better for you. In addition, if you get in touch with me far enough ahead of time, I would be glad to include your art exhibit on the flier!
And of course non-artists, if you have any pieces of decor or lighting, especially psychedelic decor that is black light reactive, such as tapestries, posters, statues, incense burners, or anything else, we would love for you to bring it to add the the collective ambiance of the room. "A PULSAR (portmanteau of pulsating star) is a highly magnetized, rotating Neutron Star that emits a beam of Electromagnetic Radiation. Here is a little change on the lineup. We will be having Deli-Fi instead of Synchronometry. Bruce regrets not being able to make this one. You can catch Bruce playing at NEBULA in April however!
