Sanskara records proudly present their debut album "Urantia Rising", bringing forth new wave spine thumpers from the scorching tip of Africa.
Tundra offers a pearl of an opener with "Fuzzy Logic", easing us into the mood with smooth atmosphere and an air of expectation followed by Hydraglyph's "Isis Crisis" funkin it up with a psychedelic trumpet piece to get those asses shaking and smiles circulating. Next up an absolute masterpiece from Corona in the form of "Modus", a fast paced contribution with crystal percussion and uncompromising textures. Then enter the Shift, characteristically turning the place upside down and taking us into the next chapter, throwing down some full on, unrelenting beats for those "Twilight" hours. Phyx continues the mayhem introducing crunchier, jaggered-ass synths to set the dance floor into frenzy. Followed by the ever elusive Artifakt showing us a lighter side to his production with a feel good remix of "Right foot" aptly named…you guessed it "Left foot". Moving on now to Soundslut showing us the true meaning of "Aural sex", introducing us to the fat bass rhythms and more in your face attitude leaving this track open to be enjoyed at any time of the party after which Hydraglyph return with another stomper "Scarabs & Toast". Last but definitely not least comes Link with the wind down track of the album "Silicon Sun", leaving us to follow dreamy melodics and atmospheres and bring us back down to reality.
These tracks have rocked dancefloors in and around Cape Town this winter and are sure to do the same at the upcoming summer festivals.
Dancefloor crushing, groove slated basslines thrown alongside shards of mind melding melody to lift your spirits, saturate your soul and keep the sun worshippers aching for more!
