In my ears : ground breaking! The sounds ive heard this year and last have been totally off the hook. For me this is the most innovative area and true bastillion of psychedelic music.
Personally I will just call this genre "Quantum Psy" for myself:-) For 2 reasons: I see this style as a quantum leap for global psy and because many of the themes have sci-fi/scientific/inner/outerspace travel/metaphisical madness kind of vibe 
(or meta-psy lol)
Moreover, it is the perfect medicine against
a) chesse Trance
b) Horror/splatter trance
No need for shock effects, just pure, raw psychedelia. And humor. And suprises 
/fan rant off
/rant on again

Darkpsy, psycore, trauma trance, neuro trance, quantum psy... can we just settle on a name already?  Nah, I'm kidding. Advance your concept. If others see that it fits, perhaps it will take off. Someone somewhere always comes up with the name... after that, and over time, it's just a matter of how the memes duke it out in the conceptual space of our shared reality.

Quasar/Dylalien/(Fractal Cowboys)/Ghreg on Earth/Alien Mental
Freaks of Nature/Secret Society/Arahat (not from S.F I think, but still S.F influenced style imo).
Also would include Mubali although different sound, but still very nice
