I have always been a full on synth person and only used samples for drums.
I just borrowed an AKAI S3000XL for a few months and I feel it's a good chance to get into sampling (finally). When I use synths I have many techniques that I can Use creatively but with samplers I can only playback, pitch, and loop.
Am I missing something?
Does any of the isratrance audio uber-geeks have any techniques to suggest that give good playable* results?
Thanks in advance.
* - By playable I mean controls that are fun to play with realtime - live.
