Hi
My name is Stefan and Im making psytrance..
In january i will maybe have one of my tracks i done (but still not 100% finnished)
on a promo-compilation.
And im planning to sample some audio from cutscenes of a pc game named System Shock 2... do I have to pay for that...???
plz let me know |

basicly..u should ask for permition and if the let u they might want charge u some money...
they the leagal right owner of the game
acctualy...no one askes for permition no one have never had problams with lets take gms for example they made so much mney "on the back" of films they sampled in their tracks but no one said anything
my opinion ...sample at your will trance music is not invovlved with so much money that the company would like to put their hands on and some peop le dont even know this music exists hahahhaha |

Check the law,
I think you can use a specific time - something like 5-15 seconds without permission
but check it out,
Anyway, there's a small chance that someone from the game company will ever know or hear this sample in a trance party - it's totally different scenes.
but this is only a suggestion, check the law

i don't really think that Electronic Arts really
cares about your track... or any track....

i dont think the the time limit is right there was a thread about it allready and i think moelcular if im not wrong said that and them checked it and found that there si no time limit...only limit...u not allowed........
