I will try to make it as simple and short as possible:I tried to create sounds from a scratch with apps like Reaktor,WaveLab/SoundForge,but it's really hard for me:creating a kick is pretty simple but creating a snare,a crash,a PAD!!!Maybe I am dumb, but I don't wanna go back there,I prefer to use made samples(one shot only,NOT LOOPS)...Is the fact that I am using samples/sample CDs/presets/SoundFonts makes me non-original?Less creative?Less a musician?

no way, no how.
does a fantastic guitarist invent a new guitar?
It's not what you use, but how you use it. Personally I'm a big fan of sample cds because I can get to the fun/creative part faster, which to me is the musical part.
Do what you like, if other people think you're less creative for it then that's their problem. =3

there some rules i've learned in music.
one of them is Not what you do but how you do it
<One learns people through the heart, not the eyes or the intellect> |

i use samples, i change them, tweak them, DESTROY them to hell.
But you can easily do your own, play around some hours and save all you got, and i mean all when i say all, you never know if you can use this or that later
