How much samples per project do you use?For the last 6 months I've created (or tried to create)all the sounds I needed to my projects.I'm not saying I got what wanted but I felt like it's my own samples,my own creations.Off course I used software to do so:WaveLab,SoundForge,Reaktor. But last week I decided to "go clean" and I bought me a copy of FL Studio & Cubasis VST and I also got three sample CDs with FL.Now I can't create all those sounds...Leads,pads,basses are not the problem 'cause I can generate those with the Cubasis's VSTi and FL's Generators but what about the drums?I don't really want to use the samples (which are pretty damn good btw)but I think it's the way to go atlist for now 'cause I don't have any money left (I also bought a NIS4000 worth of gear). After all this blah-blah I wanna know if you use a lot of samples and which ones.Do the top artists use a lot of samples or mostly VSTi (and Reaktor)?THNX!

For drums i often use samples.

But if u use fruity u can use the drumsynth live for good drums.

Anyway fruity is perfect fro using samples. Don't be afraid of using samples. Always remeber the way doesn't count it counts ur product, ur final stuff.

Using samples doesn't mean working uncreative, u can use samples as basis for creating good new stuff.
