sampler problems

platform: cubase sx2
sound card: m-audio fw410
i cant seem to use any sampler program... everytime i try to load a preview of the sound i want to load into the bank it autoloops to infinity and is stuck on such a high noise i have to shut off the vst.
i tried kontakt and VSampler Vst.
both do the same problem.
can anynone suggest anything?
