every once in a while when i open a project in cubase it would flash this msg.
the thing is that i always work in 24bit/44khz....
so why whats the change exactly?
anyone experience this anomally?

Maybe ... another application has been setting your soundcard to a frequency lower or higher than 44kHz, then when you start cubase the soundcard is set back to 44 kHz ...
Did you disable the Systemsounds from your computer? 
Best is to have 2 soundcards - one for production, the other (cheaper) card you set as default-card...then in Cubase you setup the "production-soundcard" as Output..

Every once in awhile this happens with me as well... I can't see why though, because my soundcard is also set to 44.1 by default...

u must let it be free , on 44.100hz if u whant to work at that resolution of course
