I know it was a joke, but it has a grain of truth to it. He was frighteningly good at convincing people of things that no one should ever be convinced of.
I don't think that Respect is an appropriate term for that, but IMO its very interesting. Imagine if he had used that persuasive power for things besides genocide?

I saw a movie rebuilding hitler's suicide, it had some months before the suicide too i think, the man who played hitler role has the same fucking face as hitler himself
anyway in that movie it can be seen that hitler is not always that fucking fuck he was when he was talking to his generals, (he was kind to his own but it's a good thing that he died), but he had a wife, assistant, dogs, friends, friends kids as his friends too, they all killed him self along with hitler, because of that persuasive power of his

Sure, there was a unique environment that allowed his arguments to build momentum but to deny his persuasive power and blame it all on mass hysteria...
IDK - there are plenty of examples of societies in mass hysteria that don't get converted into war machines bent on racial purity. Like it or not, he was damn good at what he did.
