Would be grateful if i could be addressed about the sample in the track Silent Running by Ari Linker and more importantly what movie it is from... even if u cannot identify the sample, please try and gimme the name!!!!

It's very difficult. I only know for sure the word "paralized".

Once again, google to the rescue.. 
It's a translation of a poem by one Rainer Maria Rilke, used in the movie Awakenings (1990). The voice is Robin Williams'.
"The Panther
For him it is as though there
were a thousand bars, and behind
the thousand bars, no world
His gaze from staring through the
bars has grown so weary that it
can take in nothing more
As he paces in cramped circles,
over and over, his powerful
strides are like a ritual dance
around a center where a great will
stands paralyzed
At times the curtains of the eye
lift without a sound
And a shape enters, slips
through the tightened silence of
the shoulders, reaches the heart
and dies."
Silent Running only contains the part from "his powerful strides" to "reaches the heart".
The samples before it ("Tell us, what do you wanna...", "(...) hey, grab the dog!") seem to originate from other movies. |
