Why would you want this?
i would make my own ones, that way you can shape them the way you want them to be.... and on the way there you can find other funny things that might fit the tune... its the mistakes on the way there that most of the times makes it original...
and i think it takes away some of the fun of making music if you use material from others.... okej drum hits is as far as ill go... but other than that i cant see any point of using premade stuff...

Great...first no replies, then a "Make your own"
How do you know what I need the sample CD's for guys!
And...if I was to use it for my music, I could easily modify each and every sample from the CD's to suit my need.
Also if "Make your own" is the way, then one should build their own synths and sample their own drums and stop using samples from movies etc.
So if someone still knows of any sample CD's for swirls & swooshes then I would appreciate it!
Peace:. |

You don't have to build a guitar to play it and be original.
But play something that does not come on a score, and you're going the right way
As far as I'm concerned, i tend to dislike even drum samples, so I sinth them(well, I try), sometimes over a drum sample. |

VertiGoa - yes, thank you.
So often I see folks asking questions and all they get is a lecture rather than an answer.
If we don't pass on information that we worked to discover then others will have to spend their effort reinventing the wheel rather than picking up where we left off and pushing the envelope.
Oops, now I'm lecturing about lecturing!
But back to the topic - it's not exactly a sample cd, though it's based on samples: Spectrasonics Atmosphere has great swoosh sounds (that can be reversed).
Anyhoo, happy tweaking!

Well, one lecture and 6 links.. i think its a good compromise... maybe it was needed to get this thread started...
but what the hell, ill take it back.. use as much premade stuff as you can... thats the way to go!
on a little side not, how hard can it be to find sample cds? we got google and lots of music sites on the net... have you tried to search on "Sample CD" ? this was the first link in the search on google..
http://www.sounduser.com/
"exactly !!! here everyone thinks themselves to be an expert !!!"
you included? you said everyone, but maybe you are not apart of this?
if it was pointed at me my answer is: no i dont think that... but i also think that you will never be an expert if you dont try your self.. but thats just how i think....
lets not argue any more about this... i dont think iv been rude in anyway...
i just want people to at least try to be original.. but why should i bother...
laters haters...

thanks you guys for the links...i'll check them out!
Triptocoma - I know how to use google, thank you. I was actually wondering if anyone knew of 'good quality' CD's, you know incase someone had already tried and tested any in particular. I find that there is a ton of crap out there...
but thanks anyway!
