I think fruity loops can use any type of wave file so just pick everything u hear. If u have a MD player and a mike, then just go out and sample people and busses and subways and escalators. When you get home record them to your hard drive, edit them in any wave editing program and then import them to fruity loops for further mayhem.

try to get speeches from
tv , mucis cds and dvd movies
but u will need other software to unpack it
like .avi filez u need to decompress to .wav and video only .avis
do not download (from net ) or record(by microphone) speeches coz they are very low quality
buy some old cds with techno or dance 4 15 shekels and rip'em after edit'em on wav editin appy ( sound forge 4 example )
go here http://www.samplearena.com/ and find great collection of linkz and sound (hat and snares)
kiks try to make by your own
take a kick 4 example , edit it on sound forge after use on it fruity parametric EQ and thats all ....
use flanger and reverb on snares and hats they like it believe me
speech samples are very complicated thing but with time u will know how to work on'em by usin' EQ only .....
also try to create sounds by your own in sound forge take some sound and reverse it and play with it until u will like it ...
very intrestin' shit ah ?
BTW if you live in haifa region and can get to Nesher i will teach you some basic sound editin'

I found a nice way to make cool sounds.
I record myself with mic and than playing around with it in Sound Forge. You might sample yourself breathing, then EQ it so only the HF will be heard and play with flanger or Wah Wah, you might get some nice Pads

Experiment is the way to go!
You want sounds that no one have....sample your self as people allready have posted.
But you should get a good mic and a md...then go out and sample stuff. The audio might not be as good as the things from cd's or dvd's but you will probqably endup sounds that NO ONE has used before....to enhance the quality just edit the souns on your computer....:-D |
