hello there trancers, officials, promoters, artists, labels, authorities.

We will start with explaining and expressing to each one of you seperately our actions, feelings, and intentions regarding a legend builded by some determined Greeks on 2001 and turned to be one of the most amazing experience for thousands of people all over the globe.

The samothraki gathering 2005 was an event wich was practicaly organised within 3 months. the heavy heritage of the previous SD festivals was the main guiding light for giving us the strength to decide and act rapidly. Following all the legal rights this country provides and taking full responsibility of our obligations towards Greece's law regarding the organisation of a music festival we knew from the very first time that the success of such an effort had limited options. However this didn't even bothered us. The decision was final and irevocable. The goal was to re start the samothraki experience by all costs.

1) regarding people
we wish to thank from the bottom of our hearts all the people who ignored the gembels like propaganda and terrorism that hitted our effort from the begining of this project. It is very simple for us and we give no further importance to the subject. In any case we can not blame anyone at that point since the unacceptable happenings on 2003 wre still fresh and were following us on every step. what we had to do was to stay focus on shouting loud in every direction that either they like it or not the samothraki gathering will simply happen.

2) Officials
our voice was strong, straight legal, and left no choices to any officials involved to the subject. Anyway they had every reason to accept our project since at the end we were in charge for EVERYTHING. Financially, morraly, and ofcourse standing with our heads up in front of an overwelming prejudice
against us, and to what we were clearly representing.

3)authorities
The police was very co operative and we really didn't expect more or less from them. They informed us for the searches at the ports, they gave us many advices regarding previous drug cartels taking action at samothraki, and they got all the legal papers and permisions needed from us. We made clear that we will not get involved in anything had to do with their job, and we asked them to be polite and treat the people with all the respect a human deserves.

Artists
Now days most of artists live their own reality. Except some of them, we are completely disapointed in general. even though we told them that there was no possitive feedback, the presale was as expected (very limited) what seemed to bother most of them was the money either we were heading for a financial dissaster. You know what? They all got prepaied and got the best accomodation an artist deserve.

in general we left even our last drop of sweat at samothraki. We tried and provide one of the biggest brand new stages ever with 70 robotics, 3 videowalls

Top visual international designers, a well respected line up, international decoration team, reggae stage, chill out stage, special cleaning crew of 10 ppl for the toilets, a total of 130 ppl working in several positions, a proper top leveled catering service and ofcourse one of the hugest crystal clear soundsystem ever met at a festival worldwide.

besides the "meetings" with many officials closing doors in our faces and fake promisses for "help" were at a daily basis a standard dose of pure poison.

It was our first festival ever and we know that mistakes may happened and we wish to apologise for any one felt that he/she wasted his time and money there. What really finally made as happy was friday 26 august 2005 at 20:00 when 150 kw of digital sound stormed the island.

We wish to ask from the Greek authorities to take a look at the soulclipse festival in turkey. A country wich suppose to be conservative and with no respect to human rights hosted and wellcome sth like 10.000 visitors from all around the globe for a trance gathering.
We want you to look forward and realise that some ppl chose to live a different life than the one served to them as the "proper" or "common" one. At the end it is nothing more than a way of having fun. We don't ask you to accept drug dealers (besides unfortunately the country is full of them). We ask you NOT to treat ALL trancers as drug dealers.

All in all we had our first experience of how things are working and honestly if we had the financial back up the gathering would happen again this summer. But we are still recovering (rapidly we have to say) and we can not afford to organise it. We have to wait for 2007.
Eternal motion is having a very wealthy party season in thessaaloniki this year but we are not willing to spent all our incomes alone for what it suppose to be a national issue. National institutions have to finance such efforts like they do with all other festivals in eastern Thrace.

And last but not least we wish to ask all active greek and foreign members of the sceene to support co operate and help for making samothraki the center of trance gatherings on 2007.

I've been to all Samothraki Festivals and do you know whats my and everybodys conclusion.

I know the deal to do a Festival,so for u to do 1 in 3 months is realy big risk and lots of work..big respect for ure tries and full support.I hope in 2007 Samothraki Gathering will be the Top...All the best

Poll answer: YES PLEASE!!!!!!

Haven't been to any Samothraki festival yet, for various personal 'reasons'.. Every year something happened, which was a bit of a pain really and great dissapointment since most of my friends were there. So YOU HAVE TO ORGANISE ONE for 2007!! Samothraki was a magical experience to most of my friends, specially the non Greek ones. They loved the islands' natural beauty and all want to go back again! Greece needs to be part of the Psy-Trance world map for sure, specially when the festival is organised in advance and well thought.. You've clearly shown that a festival CAN happen even in 3 months time, so I guess now, you've got no excuse for 2007.. he he.. You've got about (roughly) 490 days to the next one.. so we are expecting the best!! Good luck people!
