three weeks ago i started working on a new song. after building up the first samples, synths, kick and bassline, i knwe this would be akiller one.
i made tons of f*****g good samples and synths, and the groove section...ahhh...was brillant, imho.
so this was thje first part of the story.
the second part is, that when i got about 4 minutes of the song i installed a new plugin, the waldorf attack vst.
after i've seen it didnt work, i closed fruity. the next day i wanted to start the song it said: can't read flp file, maybe because its corrupted. after trying to open the file a hundred times, i got three ideas: 1st: jumping out of the window, 2nd: givin me a silver bullet, 3rd: beginning a new song!!
but i'm sure i'll never do anything like this in near time, and it just drives me nuts listening to a incompl. mp3 file with knowin that i'll never will complete it!!! I GO INSANE!!!!
so anyone knows how this came? perhaps anyone had same prob with same plugin?? or if not, some deepest solidarity will do wonders to me.....10x

...sorry about that...i know that too...
tip 1: live goes on...don t think about jumping, if u re doing such killer-stuff we need u X-)=
tip2: do all the time a redundant ( 2nd partiton, cd, zip...)
tip 3: don t use fruity as seq, only for loops and import them in logic or sx. they re running much more stable. i had also many crashes with ( older versions ) of fruity if vst i s are used exspecially those of waldorf (...ppg, attack, d-pole )
- i ve stoped using fruity.
tip 4: don t install any tools which aren t absolutly necessary on you pc.
GOOD LUCK !!

take it eeezzz man
take a walk in the park or something
flp files bulit like midi.
i think u can extract some data like step sequencer notes and piano roll arragments..
never tried it
and dont ever install plugins u dont know that will be working
i guess u used the plugin in your song and it fucked the file
one of the things u can try is to open the file in a different version of fruity..
good luck and a nice day

i think i'll never install any plugin when song is opened again, yes i think this fucked it up. also i'll double the attention when installing waldorf plugins again.
meridium, i'm checking out reason and sx since some weeks, hope i'll one day know how to work with it:) but probably u know how hard it is to change from one software to another

dude, i had a similar prob on cubase,
a song that was amazing, but it had a bug, so i couldn't open it anymore...
so, i didn't give up, and then found a solution: i installed an upgrade to the cubase, and no more problem...try it...
also try defragmenting and error checks and remove on the disc.
one more thing, when you do the track, in frooty/cubase whatever, just do many saves. i usually do like 15 saves for each track, after every major change in the track, or before any dangerous thing i'm about to do , i just save on a different name, let's say my track called 'sami', so i have sami1 sami2 sami3 and so on...(my next track will be sami for sure now...)

i had that happen to me once
there was a plug-in that was corrupted or something, and it fucked up my song.
what i did was go to the main .DLL of the plug-in, delete it, and open it again.
voilą!! worked.
i have another problem with another song, which i just can't open no matter what. |
