A friend of mine had sent me an text about Skazi written by an Brazilian DJ called Camilo Rocha. Anyone can check it out on http://www.rraurl.com/cena/coluna.php?rr_coluna=1 That's ok, this guy can have his own opinion about Skazi... but the way that he had written it was very bad. It made me fell very bad, specially because I am a Brazilian Jew and his text was very..... weird, not to say another word. |

Not mentioning the music , Skazi ( Asher ) is one of the friendliest and funiest guys in this scene ,proved to us already in few situations...all the rest is rascism !!!

It was a joke to whom didn't understand that.
And Skazi sound deserves this critics. Not psytrance to me. And a very very poor sound.
Who likes Skazi must listen to better psytrance projects.

yeah i agree that skazi sound sucks it's music for children. I do not know him or have anything personal against him but his music man! sucks bigtime and there is no trance in it at all...i wonder why they still think he is trance?

Camilo Rocha wants to cause polemic, for sure!!! But he can talk this... why not?!
I think like that, cause Skazi was the name most viewed all the time in the articles where people talk bad things about psytrance. And all of them have a reason to do that: really BAD tracks, too comercial!!!

i agree with u about skazi..... and about camilo rocha's comments, they r just to express his opinion about skazi music.... i think all the people that read the lines got the ironic meaning he put in the words.... don't be afraid topsy, camilo rocha is not from hamas or anything else....

I really felt like that comment was rude, unnecessary and charged with racism. I think also Skazi´s sound is not among the best (on the contrary, I even liked it in the past, when I was starting to know e-music) and I disagree with other fellows about the person, I have the worst opinion about Asher. He came to Belo Horizonte, acted like pop-rock star (he is far from it), broke my equipment and treated us like shit (and we treated him like a king!). It is a shame that comments like that come up regarding jews; all jews that I know from Brazil or from other countries like Israel are very nice people, people with principles. I don´t care about the president of Iran , crazy and aggressive people should be left talking alone...

Basically Camilo was taking the piss of all the people who might take those comments seriously...quite successfully actually.
He's a REAL dj, besides he's jew...and a nice person.
He was just critizicing the pathetic Skazi sound and the trance scene nowadays...a really easy thing to do if you're a real DJ or a serious journalist.
And he is both...respect Camilo!!!

we are proud that we love psychedelic TRANCE, if he thinks nice psy is psy that sounds like techno so fuck himself 10 times now!
I know Camilo and read a bunch of nice things he has written over the years, but now I simply lost all respect for this suckah. Serious journalism is writing things in an unparcial way, but he wrote about something that he clearly hates. there is no way it would ever work..
Apart from that, he is not thaaaat good of a DJ. Right now he is all into nu skool breaks, proclaiming himself as the ambassador of thai shit in our country. Poor boy, he doesn`t know that 4 years ago, when he came down here (RS, where i live) to play sum electroclash/breakbeat shit he was gettin into, we already had a stabilished and very serious underground breaks scene, full of DJs that lived that scene deeply for years in london and we're back to town, presenting killah releases with heavy hip-hop/scratch skills...
he tought people we're liking his set because there were a bunch of people laughing... but indeed, all those persons we're laughing at his face, cause he was playing a set that was way too old and childish when compared to what people we're used to hear down here. thinking that he was doing something really modern, like a badass from SP..
he was our joke for the following years. he should have sticked to techno... |
