Let me be blunt in here: Last two times I´ve seen S-Range, it was soooo boring ! Daniel, Mau, Matera (specially Mau´s) sets are far superior. When he played at the old Freak, I´ve only heard extremely downbeat progressive, huh, say, stompless...And at the last Tribe party of 2001, it was kind of a party stopper. |

The other night, he played a very clubby set, high bpms actually, progressive full on stuff if you will... very confuse set...
It didn't work for me...
Maybe he's wasn't in a good night... he seemed not interested, kept looking to his watch all the time, kind of bored...
I love his music though (S-Range and Prex)
It rocks big time !!

for me it was a very interesting set...
new stuff, progressive full on, happy, fresh... I´ve liked a lot, but indeed, for those who were expecting some slow bpm progressive sounds, it might have sounded a bit strange...
but for me, it was killer!

I think maybe Anthony is changing him style of dj set. I heard him at Celebra and he plays a lot of high bpm tracks, including Astrix track. I liked the fast progressive he played there. But don´t know how´s his set at Freak a Delic...

A lot of guys from the so-called 'progressive world'are playing these kind of tracks lately....it's full on, but not your typical full on...the bpms are lower (141, 142), there's a lot of progressive elements and a overriding morning theme to most of these tracks...
Bamboo Forest, Saiko-Pod, Astrix go a lot on this path...
Bim did that when he played here...so did Anthony.
thankfully very close to my cup of tea
the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.... |
