regarding your advices from my last thread on s.cards, I went to music shop and consulted about luna II and delta 66. came with the intention of buying the delta eventually, but they made me realise they are 2 totaly different cards, ment for different way of working:
assuming both have good sound quality:

1. the luna is a dsp machine with its main advantage being the softs that comes with it e.g a consule mixer, synths effects etc.

but with it,when i'll(hopefully)have harware synths, I'll have to route them to my mixer which will b connected to the in of the luna, and record only one channel at the time.

2.the delta being an I/O machine so can record more than one channel at a time, but to my surprise have no midi ins/outs.

so because my sb will not stay with me after changing s.card, I'll have to find solution to connect my midi keyboard(my main tool with reason at the moment..) any suggestions?

having trouble deciding accoarding to this new info i got in M.shop, tell me ,

which way of work you use? if u sue the luna, tell me if the dsp's are that helpfull?

if you use the delta - what u do for midi connectibility?

thanks all,and hope its not too long,i have to think well b4 investing this sum of money (unlike some other members here...),

BOM,~T.

I think that Creamware are much like Microsoft... Or at least they intend to b, in some ways...

So if you like Microsoft then buy Luna...

dear tdme!
you have these options for your decision: either to spend another xx$ (2 digit decimal sum) on a USB midi interface,
this lieves you without a gameport and costs money.

or lieve your s.blaster with it's gameport midi.

the 1st option is a more professional approach:
MIDI i-faces are usually so-called "MIDI hubs" - u can use more than 1 interface in your PC (1 is a keyboard, other is a controller box e.g.)

now as for luna vs. delta
luna is for the so called "virtual people"..
i don't wanna widen the issue, but they like virtual synths much more, and draw the melodies with a mouse (i heard they do other things with a mouse)
so if you wanna get real synths, with real transistors and LEDs, go for delta.

another advantage: you can route your audio into
an analog mixer (4 outs is not bad at all), so if you continue working in a real studio, this is a big advantage upon 1 out card - sound technician will have much more control.

N.B.
make sure you get a MIDI hub with its own power supply - i have heard of people who had power problems when using USB devices without own power.

P.S.
i think this is my last long post.
no more - time=money.
