while it's not free nor the same style of application, vmware works wonders. it's around $80 for the osx version and they've got a 30 day free trial. i use it on linux to virtual machine win xp, it's very fast! i'm unsure of its performance for music stuff though.

afaik,
vwmare needs windows xp installation...
it would be the same as using parallels or bootcamp. Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

boot camp wont work with tiger, and you should upgrade to leopard anyway its killer
you can use parallels desktop to run windows in a window on osx , great stuff, relay usefull.

make sure you have windows installation formating the partition you install it onto. Then it should work very well with bootcaml.

If you prefer bootcamp,
I'd upgrade to 10.5 - you will get bootcamp working.
I reckon you will upgrade to 10.5 sooner or later.
Crossover is great, as you don't need to install windows, but not every windows app works on it. You should check out the demo and see if your apps work with it.

of course there is : http://www.winehq.org/
it works exactly like crossover, actually crossover is base on wine. The only drawback is that not all apps work perfectly with it. But it's the only free option you have ( you don't even need windows ) |
