i've made something from the princeiples you've said. i think it's realy cool, but too dark. the pitchbending killing the notes. how do i make it to sounds more like music?

Make the envelope (that controls the oscillator) decay fast enough (and play around with the "envelope>oscillator frequency" modulation index) so that the pitch lands on the note you want long enough to perceive them as notes, rather than some random pitch bend effect.

here ya go, reason combinator patch, it's very basic and will work on just about any synth using the same types of waveform, pitch mod and filtering.
